I’m running a LaRue Tactical upper with a LaRue Tactical rail. Thanks for the info. Have a pic of your rig by any chance?

You’re going to need the rail. The 512, FTS, and BUIS take up too much real estate and the Eotech 512 will not clear the M4 handguards without a riser.
If you’ve got LRT rails you should be fine. I’m running the 512, FTS, and Troy BUIS on mine. While the Eotech 512 anchors to the upper, the snout is out over the rail.

Get the 516, your magnifier and your BUIS will all fit on your flat-top.

I’ve got a 516, and it all fits.. but I’m thinking yours will all fit too, as you’re really just making the EOTech hang out over your handguard.

I have a 557 + EOTech 3x FTS + Troy Battlesight and they all fit on the upper receiver.

I have the 552, a 3x on a LaRue Tactical flip mount, and a flip up rear BUIS.

Insert a dime into the gap in the top of the ring. Thread the longer Jack Screw into the threaded side of the ring as shown. Open the ring until you can slide the objective bell through the ring opening. Unscrew the Jack Screw, remove the dime, and install the original LaRue Tactical ring screws.

Hey Gents, Thanks for the info …I really appreciate it and it helps a TON . Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

Excellent products. Excellent company.

Yup.

I’ve only ordered from them once (a QR Scope Mount for an Aimpoint sight) due to budget issues at the gearjammer ranch, but when I have some money to spare, they will definitely be getting some of it.

Customer service, fast shipping, and freebies aside- their products are excellent.
The rear sight should be back as far as possible.

The red dot position is personal preference. You’ll find people that swear it needs to be all the way back, and others all the way forward. One very notable trainer runs it in the middle. Put it where it works best for your eye and your style of shooting.

And yes, the Magpul sights are not made for a railed gas block.

Nice blaster by the way.

I’ve only ever seen or heard of it being run in the forward position in all of the 3-gun, combat rifle and training classes that I’ve taken. Regardless, I’m curious who runs it in the middle?
I have the LT on my SF961. It is the most ergonomical Scope Mount I have seen. Positions the thumb perfectly.

Grant, got the LT Scope Mount today, thank you and Roxanne for the super fast service (as usual).

Thanks everyone for the good info! I’m going to buy the RCO mount. Does anyone happen to have one for sale ;)

I just ordered the LT Scope Mount for the Surefire from Grant.(West Bridgewater, MA) – The matter of Atlantic Research Marketing Systems, Inc. v Austin Precision Products, Inc. d/b/a LaRue Tactical, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Civil Action No. 1:09-cv-10034(DPW), was settled and dismissed with prejudice. LaRue Tactical has taken a fully paid up, royalty free license under U.S. Trademark Registration Nos. 3,466,163 and 3,478,909.

There really isn’t a bad SKS Rifle Stocks unless dome dumb hick dragged it through the TAPCO catalog. They are fun guns to shoot. Every gun owner should have one.

$295 is pretty fair in today’s market for a norinco. You can find them for slightly less, but it will take lots of time and persistence to save $30-$50.

I’m interested in the LOW adapter because I’m not interested in putting an optic or a set of irons on my shotgun. Thanks!

8/17/2005 6:31:00 PMJust wanted to show yall some pictures of my recently acquired AR sporting a even more recently acquired Aimpoint. The Scope Mount feels extremely strong. I used loc-tite to make sure it wont wiggle its way loose. It also co-witnesses perfectly with my BUIS As for the Aimpoint, it is incredible how much faster i can pick up a target now compared to iron sights. The sight is crystal clear, very small and takes up very little room. If your looking for a great compact sight this is it. I ordered this from LaRue Tactical , and let me tell you they are top notch. I asked if they would throw in a bumper sticker and they gave me all sorts of goodies as seen in the picture below. So if your looking for a quality gun are anything to do with an AR check out Larue. You wont be disappointed. Im going to the range on Thursday to see how she shoots.

^Note all I ordered was the sight and Scope Mount in the one bag on the bottom right.

They do on mine. Why wouldn’t they? It’s a kcolg joke. Kinda like how every animal is a possum in hondaciv threads. A while back, he posted a thread wondering if Snap-On sockets would fit on a Craftsman ratchet. I should have known that my SNAP-ON thread would reappear again. JSteensen 8/4/2011 3:47:39 PM Honestly, I bought a pretty cheap Scope Mount from them when I could afford it. But Ive told well over 100 people about their customer service, and I do intend to eventually put LaRue Tactical mounts on all my serious firearms. AR4U 8/4/2011 4:40:16 PM

. All guns in china are made in gov’t arsenals and exported through Norinco or in this case CGA. This gun probably arrived in the unmarked and was rather crudely stamped by Glnic. It reads: “7.62X39mm SKS Rifle Stocks made in china by CGA. Imported by Glnic Ca. Semi-Auto” I read that China didn’t mark many of their guns destined for export in case they turned up in places that they shouldn’t be so there would be deniability. This gun has been a real social studies lesson!

ReportI just picked up a bunch of Winchester 7.62×39 from a friend and I was planning on shooting it through my only 7.62x39mm rifle, a Yugo 59/66. My concern was slam fires from the softer primers, I did a search and found this site…

I’m really interested to hear if anyone has some sort of a more in-depth comparison of the two also. I’m pretty well set in the rifle department but I don’t own a complete LaRue Tactical so I’ve been waiting for one to become more appealing than the next before I put in an order for one. Of course I’m also waiting for range day so I can get my hands on complete rifles because all of the guys I shoot with are broke college students like me so I don’t know anyone with a complete rifle.
